ActOut is a campaign started in 2022 during the midterms interviewing, developing and endorsing Democratic candidates.
The Problem
Over the last year I have met with and talked to over 120 candidates for political office. From those discussions I have concluded that there is a single issue obstructing political progress for progressive and left-wing policy and candidates:
There is no outreach or guidance from the 
Democratic National Committee | DNC .
The 
Democratic Party is at odds with itself. The party leadership is stagnant which is causing The Squad to pull further left to get attention. There is no effective messaging, no leadership, and no progress despite a clear Democratic advantage over the far-right for many reasons.
How do we fix this?
The Solution(s)
The most important actions we can take to change direction will be to stay away from national politics this cycle. There will be so much money pouring in from outside sources that without buckets of money we will likely make very little inroads.
We need to stay away from divisive rhetoric concerning Reproductive Rights, LGBTQ+, Trans Rights, Gun Politics and all of the other cultural wedge issues. We need to simply stop engaging on these issues that we are being triggered into responding too. There are winning policy arguments that are bipartisan and unifying which we can embrace instead.
