Meet the Acting U.S. Attorney A/USA Folk Acting United States Attorney
W. Anders Folk
W. Anders Folk was named the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota on March 1, 2021. He is the chief federal law enforcement official for the district. The office is responsible for prosecuting federal crimes in the district, including crimes related to terrorism, firearms, narcotics, child exploitation, human trafficking, financial fraud, healthcare fraud, public corruption, and tribal justice issues. The office is also responsible for representing the United States in affirmative and defensive civil cases, as well as assisting communities throughout Minnesota in community-building efforts designed to enhance public safety.
Prior to his appointment as Acting U.S. Attorney, Mr. Folk served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney since August 2018. From 2011-2018, Mr. Folk was a partner at the Stinson law firm in Minneapolis and, prior to his work in the private sector, served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota and a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Folk attended the University of Minnesota Law School and the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts.
