Anonymous accounts are incredibly destructive. There is nothing stopping a bad person who was kicked off a network from signing up for a new account the next minute.
Misinformation is a profit source to these companies, they will ensure as much content remains on their networks, regardless of the damage it does. These companies are neither social companies, nor media companies.
Fiducia understands its role as a media network and its goal is to thoughtfully and transparently promote fact based news and information and we will not shy away from removing the worst misinformation spreaders
Fiducia is committed to creating a space where people feel safe and will constantly improve its algorithms to that goal. Fiducia is not beholden to shareholders, taking profit and its potential to corrupt our mission out of the equation.
"Social Media" companies treat you, the "user" as their "product". They will sell your personal information to the highest bidder, and they are tracking you all across the internet all the time.
Fiducia is not a normal corporation
Fiducia has all the transparency of a non-profit except it is allowed to sell advertisements. This is guaranteed for all time by the company's founding bylaws.
The founding bylaws of Fiducia prevent it from being sold or bought out. There is no stock to be bought and Fiducia legally cannot be listed on any market meaning there is no financial pressure to maximize profits at the expense of the greater good.
